Col's Comment

The 322T is too fine to work through a hand pump. Why not consider the 322h and fill your tanks with good clean water. This way there will be no strain on your pump system.

Tank Cleaning

There are a lot of suggestions out there on how to clean your tanks, from natural products to commercial brands. 

One rule is never, never, never  use chlorine or chlorine based products. The reason is, we as travellers take on water that has a lot more substances in it than the water does at home.  If there is colour in the water that is from leaves, tree branches, etc; when this chlorine is added to the coloured/stained water it creates a by product, which can cause cancer! 

This is a fact recognised by the government, hence they place a lot of effort in getting the water clear before it is sent to us.

Do you really need a water filter?

Some people have travelled Australia for years without a filter. Taken water from creeks and puddles and have never had a problem.
