What's the difference?
Alternative or
Electronic???
 Alternative
is - Silver Coated Crystals which naturally kill the bacteria in the
water. Silver is known as 'Nature's antibiotic'. As the water passes over
a full bed of Silver Coated Crystals, the silver attracts, and kills all
harmful bacteria, which may be present. Does not require power.
The term "Alternative"
refers to this technology being a more budget friendly alternative to the Electronic
Silver system.
 Electronic
is - Silver anodes suspended in the water both before and after the
cartridge portion of the unit. The silver is released from these anodes
via a circuit, which electronically releases a minute amount of silver
into the water. The circuit is activated by the flow of the water. It
requires 4 x AA batteries to power the circuit.
Both the Electronic and
Alternative systems do the same job - kill
bacteria in the water. The Electronic does
this job for a longer period compared to the Alternative.
