There are two Silver Systems to choose from:

There are two types of sterilisation medium available for use in RV's, Household, Etc. These are the 'B.E.S.T. Alternative' and the 'B.E.S.T. Electronic'. Both ranges utilise silver to destroy bacteria.

The 'B.E.S.T. Alternative' (Original SilverSafe^®)

This system utilises a bed of crystals coated with a sanitising solution of silver before and after the filtration process. Here you are assured no bacteria will breed within your water filter. The level of silver released is very low, hence it is not as effective to prevent bacteria in any stored water. These units are more compact and less expensive.

The 'B.E.S.T. Electronic' (Electronically Released)

The silver is electronically released when you turn on a tap. A controlled, trace amount of high quality silver is released into your water. This process will ensure your water filter and all stored water (after the filter system) are free from bacteria for an extended period of time.

(Original SilverSafe^®)

The Alternative range of filtration units incorporates the use of quartz crystals being coated with silver. The water passes through a crystal bed and any bacteria that are present is attracted to the silver and destroyed.

The water then passes through high quality carbon, which removes chemicals and herbicides and pesticides. Following the carbon, the water passes through another bed of silver crystals to ensure any bacteria that was released from the carbon is destroyed.

Since the water filtration industry began, the problem of bacteria breeding in the filter medium once the chemicals were removed was then solved because of the birth of the 'Original SilverSafe^®' process. The amount of silver released from these units is very low and not detectable in a standard laboratory.

Today this process is known as the 'B.E.S.T. ALTERNATIVE'. [B.E.S.T. stands for Bacteria Eliminating Silver Treatment].

The B.E.S.T. Electronic System

In the B.E.S.T. Electronic range of filtration units, a controlled, trace amount of silver is electronically released by the flow of the water. The silver is carried down the pipe work and is attracted to the pipe walls. This process destroys bacteria as they settle preventing them from producing the Biofilm

With a flow rate at 3 litres per minute, the silver is electronically activated when a tap is turned on and produces silver at a level of less than 0.03mg/litre. The recommended daily intake of silver is 0.09mg/litre. Of the less than 0.03mg/litre of water from the B.E.S.T. WATER FILTER you consume, your stomach lining will only absorb 10%, so the level of intake by drinking this water is very low. Therefore to reach your recommended daily level by drinking water from the B.E.S.T. WATER FILTER, you will need to drink 30 litres per day! 

Medical authorities advise that 2 litres of water per day is all that is required, therefore you'll receive the balance of your daily intake through organically grown fruit and vegetables.
