The B.E.S.T. Alternative Inline Water Filters

1 MICRON B.E.S.T. ALTERNATIVE INLINE

(The lower the micron number, the finer holes are. 1 micron is rated to trap parasites, bacteria etc)

Use this 1 micron on town pressure and electric pump pressure.

Removes chlorine, herbicides, pesticides, dirt and sediment, traps and destroys bacteria, traps parasites, maintains a bacteria free environment within the filter, etc...

(Dimensions: 285mm x 56mm)

This is by far the most
 popular choice made by RV'ers.

  • D.I.Y. and quick installation

  • Connects to your filling hose with 'click fit' hose connectors.

  • Store it away when not in use.

  • Simple to attach to another RV

If you are not sure what the water is like in your tank? (maybe you have taken on a particularly questionable batch),
you can simply recirculate using the B.E.S.T. Inline.

  • Does not need to be permanently installed.

  • Does not waste any of your water.

When you don't want to have to remember 'another thing' when RV'ing - you can permanently install the B.E.S.T. Inline into your plumbing system.

  • Not a hard installation- .

  • Can be set up just at drinking water point or to do the complete system.

  • You can be connected to town water and still fill your tanks through the filter

5 MICRON INLINE ( 5 micron will produce clean water but is not rated to trap parasites, bacteria etc.

Use this 5 micron on town pressure, electric pump pressure and hand pump

Removes chlorine, herbicides, pesticides, dirt and sediment and maintains a bacteria free environment within the filter, etc... (Dimensions: 285mm x 56mm)

The 5 micron has been DISCONTINUED
The 5 micron Inline Range has been discontinued due to a lack of demand.
The reasons for requiring a 5 micron inline can be overcome by installing a 1 micron Hose Inline on the main line coming in.

The above B.E.S.T. ALTERNATIVE range use the Original SilverSafe Technology, where although very effective, the levels of silver are so low they are non-detectable in a laboratory.

The e-B.E.S.T. (Electronic) range below has silver anodes before and after the carbon. This silver is released as a control rate of less than 1/3 set by the Australian guidelines. By being released on demand, the silver is carried with the flow of water, offering you a better residual sanitisation.

The B.E.S.T. Electronic CARTRIDGE Systems

E-RV ( E = Electronic)

  • These are the ultimate of all RV filtration systems.

  • The low levels of silver colloid released from this system are effective in killing high levels of harmful bacteria

  • The residual silver released is an excellent way of maintaining bacteria free tanks and pipe work, which also prevents the development of biofilm.

SPECIAL NOTE: The electronic unit has been constantly upgraded and improved since we first started manufacturing them. As a result there are many different sized anodes to suit each stage of improvement. As a result, we need to speak with you to determine which model you have and when the unit was purchased. In rare cases, we may require the anode to be returned to us to see if can be identified and if it is possible to upgrade to the newest specifications. We ask that you please be patient during the identification process. When ordering the replacement anodes, please be near your unit as we will ask some questions regarding its appearance and also the date of purchase (an estimation will be suitable). Thank you!

IMPORTANT NOTE WHEN PURCHASING CARTRIDGE SYSTEMS

Due to the popularity of the inline system, we now manufacture minimal amounts of the cartridge systems to be carried in stock. As we don't offer accounts to any RV Manufacturers, it is necessary to ensure that your order is placed at least 14 days prior to the requirement date. This will allow for manufacture (if required) and delivery. From our experiences over the last few years as the RV industry has progressed ( at a very great speed), the fact of possible required waiting periods is often overlooked by manufacturers. Hence, to avoid disappointment, it may be in your best interest to purchase directly from us and we will forward the system to your preferred location.

Technical Notes
TECH NOTE - A NOTE ON CARBON...
With all filtration systems the secret is the longer the the water is in contact with the carbon the better chemical removal. For this reason, although a flow rate of up to around 18 litres per minute can be achieved the slower the better. So if time is available while filling your tanks, turn your supply tap onto a slow flow, and have a cuppa as you fill your tanks.
TECH NOTE - We give you better contact time- You will notice on all our systems the water enters from one end of the carbon and out the other. This is called an axial flow direction. Where as many cartridges allow water to enter from the side (radial flow direction) and flow up through a hollow tube in the centre. Radial direction only allows water to come in contact with the carbon for around 20mm, where as axial is around 200mm - 10 times more contact time! Contact time is one secret to producing good quality water.
WHAT'S BEING TOLD AND SOLD - The better the micron rating, the better the filtration. This is a very misleading statement and is 100% true for dirt and bacteria (hence, its need to be cleanable filter). But this is not true for chemical removal! The more contact surface of carbon there is available the better the chemical removal is. So, if carbon is compacted so hard it forms a 'block', which is used as part of the micron barrier to trap dirt and bacteria - this process also reduces the usable surface area of the carbon.
